Sleep should be restorative and refreshing, but is often the opposite. Many of us have trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep. Then, there is the issue of poor sleep quality that leaves you feeling tired even when you slept for an adequate number of hours.

It is also a good idea to avoid caffeine, alcohol, and foods high in fat and sugar. Eating a light dinner a few hours before you go to bed helps ensure that your body can get the rest it needs.
