DIY Project Mermaid: Beach Ready

Be a Mermaid & Make Waves.I just returned from a week at a lake. In our land-locked state, it's as close to the beach as we sometimes can get. But, with sand, sun, water, and waves- I'll take it! Being outside for extended periods of time can be harsh on the skin and hair. I've created some delicious (and beach-y) smelling DIY skin and hair care products you can make for your next trip to the water.

Although not the typical oils you might expect, the essential oils used in these recipes are a great combination for the skin and hair. We used the combination of Rosemary, Petitgrain, Douglas Fir, and Lavender essential oils in all our mermaid ready recipes, but feel free to experiment with your own combination. Remember to pay attention and avoid oils that might make your skin extra sensitive to the sun. This combo is all cleared for use in the sun on your skin and hair and will keep your mood rejuvenated and uplifted- just like a day at the beach!

Project Mermaid Printable Labels

I made a printable version of these recipes as well as some labels and tags you can use to spruce up your creations. Head over to my shop to download them. I think these would make a cute gift with a new beach towel and a fun magazine.

If you just want to throw these oils in your diffuser, that works too!
