Sometimes it seems like winter is digging its heels in and is never going to end. Then one morning you wake up, the sun is shining, birds are chirping, there is something different in the air and all of the sudden spring has arrived!
To make the most of this wonderful season, it's good to have a plan. Life gets busy quickly so when you come out of winter hibernation this year, be ready to "spring" into spring!

Start Your Garden
Gardening is an excellent activity to promote wellness. It can reduce stress and provides family time, light exercise, and healthy food. A flower garden can bring a sense of beauty and wonder. All gardens give you a sense of accomplishment. Before it is time to plant, figure out what you want to grow this year and do a little research into when the best time to plant is for your area. There are so many resources online that will help you pick plants that are well suited to your climate and soil.
Clean & Organize
In modern culture, "spring cleaning" probably isn't the necessity it once was. Modern heating practices alone - think central, natural gas heated air instead of coal fired furnaces - mean that build up of dirt over the winter is mostly a thing of the past. But it's still nice to take the opportunity to make the inside of your house feel as fresh as the outside does. There are plenty of spring cleaning checklists online to guide your through. Revisit Your Wellness Objectives
Spring is a time of fresh starts and renewal. Take a look at your wellness goals and adjust and recommit. Can you move your exercise routine outside? Take more walks, bike rides, hikes?
