Essential Oil Notebook: Geranium

Sometimes called a "poor man's rose" geranium essential oil is steam extracted from the whole plant. It has a sweet, floral, herby scent. The main beneficial components are Citronellyl formate and Geraniol.

Geranium helps promote clear and healthy skin, is great for calming nerves and lessening stress, and is beneficial for healthy hair. It's also useful for joint support, hormone support, normal inflammatory response, and tempering minor aches and pains.

Emotionally, geranium helps to restore trust and confidence in others, helps heal a broken heart and softens anger. It is also useful to stabilize the mind and enhance imagination.
